TAMPA - One of the first questions people ask when they meet me is, “what time do you get up in the morning?”  I actually get a kick out of saying 1:45!  I follow up with “Yes, it’s tough, and No, you never get used to it!.”  But the truth is, as hard as it is to get up that early, anchoring the morning news with Dan Shaffer and Wayne Shattuck is a whole lot of fun! Dan is actually one of my best friends.

If you’re a regular viewer of ABC Action News in the Morning, then you’ve probably already noticed our coordinating outfits! His ties always match or compliment what I’m wearing.

No, we don’t have mental telepathy, although sometimes I wonder! The truth is, we actually call each other every night.

Moving to Tampa in 2003 was a homecoming for me. I was born and raised in the Panhandle and graduated from Bethune Cookman College in Daytona Beach.

Prior to Tampa, I worked as a news anchor in Montgomery, Mobile, Phoenix and Atlanta.

My husband, Dave and I have two beautiful daughters, Riley and Ryan.
