TAMPA - The magic of Old Havana and the thrill of competitive ballroom dancing come together in a spectacular way as the Millennium Dancesport Championships come to Tampa's Marriott Waterside Resort June 18th-23rd. Experience "An Evening at the Tropicana" as the ballroom is transformed into the famous Cuban nightspot, complete with the world famous Tropicana Club Showgirls and the irresistible energy of Orquesta Aragón, the beloved band that introduced the world to the cha cha cha.
For the first time this year, Millennium will also host the WDC World Professional Latin Showdance Championships, bringing more excitement to an event that is already the largest ballroom competition in North America.
Competitors from around the U.S. and the world will descend on Tampa for five exciting days and nights of the best in ballroom and Latin dance competition.
Our event will close Sunday at the St. Petersburg Coliseum with a concert entitled "An Afternoon in Havana," hosted by "So You Think You Can Dance's" Mary Murphy and the "bad boys" of "Dancing With the Stars" Maks Chmerkovskiy and Tony Dovolani. The concert will feature live music and dancing, performances by world-class dancers, Cuban food and even a cigar lounge.
Join us for a wonderful week of dancing, performances, and the feel of one of the most electrifying nightspots on the planet as the Millennium Dancesport Championships gets underway June 18th-23rd.
