TAMPA - With temperatures getting warmer, the swim season in Florida is quickly approaching.
Parents need to be alert. Drowning is the leading cause of death for children under the age of four in the Sunshine State.
One of the ways to prevent accidental drownings is to teach children, starting when they're six months old how to float on their back.
An infant swimming resource class was held Thursday in Tampa.
These types of programs are great for kids whose parents have pools or live near one.
