Gorillaz create album using only an iPad

The Gorillaz, a band led by English musician Damon Albarn, best known as the frontman of the 90's band Blur, has created their newest album using only an Apple iPad.

On Christmas Eve, the band released the 15-song album The Fall to members of its fan club. The Gorillaz plan on releasing the album in stores early in 2011.

The band used 20 different iPad apps to record and mix the album. A few real-life instruments, such as a guitar and piano, were used, but each was recorded using the iPad.

On their website, the Gorillaz said The Fall was recorded over a 32-day period during the band's North American tour this year.
