TAMPA, FL -- A section of the northern most travel lane and parking lane on Jackson Street will be closed beginning Monday, October 26, so that crews can work on a new water pipeline.

The section of Jackson Street that will be closed begins at Franklin Street and ends at Florida Avenue.

No street parking will be available on north side of Jackson Street between Franklin Street and Florida Avenue.

Drivers are being encouraged to avoid the area. If you drive in the area, you can expect a new traffic pattern during the lane closure.

The lane closures are for installation and connection of new pipeline which is part of City of Tampa's Downtown Utility Capital Improvement Project (UCAP). The construction is expected to be completed by November 6, 2009.
