HOLIDAY, FL -- Some parents in Tampa Bay are saving big bucks on everything from formula to strollers.

They’re parents like Tausha Sudbury of Holiday. She’s a full-time mom. She has a four-year old, a two-year old and was unexpectedly blessed with a third!

"Fortunately it was another girl so the older clothes we could keep on to," Sudbury says.

But, Sudbury says she got rid of most of her baby stuff and now needs to restock for the latest addition to the family. "That's a huge expense starting allover again," she says.

A friend told her about Freepeats.org, a site where parents can swap their gently used baby items with other parents for free! That is the perfect price tag for this mother.

“To have a new child is extremely expensive you've got the expense of basic cribs and furniture is thousands of dollars,” Sudbury says.

Here's how you can save:

1.) Sign up with a group in your area. There is a Tampa group which covers much of the Bay area.

2.) Once you're in, you can post items under "offers" or even make a wish list of "needs."

3.) If you find something you want, or if you have something another parent needs, you arrange for a swap.

"A lot of what I do is posting when there is a sale." Sudbury says her group is also a good place to find advice and even coupons. "People know what you're doing that you’re giving it away, what you're giving away and where it's located," she says.

And while she shops around for what she needs, she also has boxes of baby stuff that she plans on donating as well. "It's really a comfort to know that people are out there doing that period," she says.

Freepeats.org does charge a one-time fee of $4.95 to join. Click here to sign up.
