TAMPA, FL---According to the Girl Scouts of Gulfcoast Florida, their cookies are not affected by the current peanut butter warning.Neither licensed baker affiliated with Girl Scout® Cookies, ABC Interbake and Little Brownie Bakers, source their peanut butter from the supplier involved in the current peanut butter warning.
FDA and other regulatory agencies have indicated that Peanut Corporation of America (PCA) is the focus of their investigation concerning a recent Salmonella outbreak thought to be caused by tainted peanut butter. PCA does not supply peanut butter used in any variety of Girl Scout® cookies.
Girl Scouts on the Gulf Coast of Florida are currently taking orders for Girl Scout cookies through January 26. Girl Scout cookies will be delivered to local warehouses for distribution on Saturday, February 7
