TAMPA, FL -- They are driving precious cargo, but an ABC Action News Investigation has uncovered cases where school bus drivers in Hillsborough County are driving while talking and sometimes texting on cell phones.

While the State of Florida requires local school boards to have a policy prohibiting the use of cell phones and texting, Hillsborough County school officials acknowledge they have no official policy in place.

ABC Action News talks to one local woman who took it upon herself to do something about it after her son came home from school saying his bus driver was texting while driving over 60 students home.

What do school officials say about it?  Find out Tuesday on ABC Action News at 11p.m.
