TK's Take: New England Patriots vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers

TAMPA, FL -- When I read that New England Head Coach Bill Bellichick called the Bucs "explosive", I was confused.

Did he mean explosive as in, highly energized, potent. Or did he mean " highly pressurized and unstable."

It had to be the later. If he was trying to pass off this team as the high energized and potent, that would be a personal affront to our intelligence, and the Bucs.

In fact, if I were the Bucs, I would take that Bellichick comment and treat it as a back-handed slap in the kisser.

Why not? This lot needs all the motivation it can muster up for Sunday's tilt in London.

Not a great time to be going over the pond. The Euro is far too inflated vs. the US dollar. After all,
the Glazer's are trying to save money, aren't they?

And the British Pound is almost comically high on the foreign exchange market. The U.S. says it will ignite our export business overseas.

Our first delivery to English shores, the Bucs and the Patriots. Let's figure this one out. Don't think the English give a hoot about Paul Revere or the Boston Tea Party.

The tabloids should find some saucy stuff, or make it up, when NE Quarterback Tom Brady hits ground.

Oh, the Manchester United fans. They should give the Glazer's a special welcome.

The owners might want to bring a taste-tester with them.

What I'm getting at here is this. Instead of jamming our sport down the throats of those who really could care less, back off.

Instead of jamming our 'Americana" style on people who are a bit peeved at us to begin with, back off.

Might I suggest to the high and mighty NFL brass, if your going to present your sport to foreign lands, might I suggest ticketing the previous year's Super Bowl teams.

Better yet, forget this dog and pony show. The only people among these two teams that will enjoy the trip are the ones sitting in first and business class.

For the rest, this trip over the pond will literally be a pain in the you know what.

Fortunately, we won't have to make this trip.

Patriots are favored by 14 1/2 points. NE won't put up 59 points on the Bucs like they did Tennessee last
Sunday. But they beat the spread.

I'm taking New England minus the 14 1/2 points.

TK vs. Spread (Season) 4-2
