The Tampa Bay Buccaneers released kicker Mike Nugent, the team announced Monday.

Nugent signed with the Bucs in March and played in each of their first four games this season. But he made just 2-of-6 field goal attempts, with a long of 37, along with all six extra point attempts.

Nugent had joined Tampa Bay after spending his first four NFL seasons with the New York Jets. In 53 career games, Nugent has made 77-of-98 field goal attempts and 89-of-91 extra points.

Additionally, the Buccaneers announced they signed kicker Shane Andrus and released cornerback Marcus Hamilton.
