I called 2 of my credit card companies and was told no right off the bat! Because I had surgery last September and was 3 days late on a payment THEY closed my account and therefore would not be able to help me. They let me know that I could re-apply for another card if I wanted to. I declined. This whole economic thing is very frustrating and I'm tired of the word "NO" .

I called Discover and my interest rate was lower from 22.99 to 7.99. I am unemployed so the protection plan will also make my payments until I am back to work. I also called a credit card company that handles Circuit City. They gave me a $35 credit, (for what, I don't know)my protection plan insurance will pay the payments and they may even write off the rest as the balance is so low.
