It looks like the Trump Tower Tampa may be back from the dead.A new source of funding has apparently resurrected the long delayed project on Ashley Street. If you go to the Trump Tower site right now you can see it's been overrun by weeds. The project has also been overrun by worry after a wondrous promise from Donald Trump. Trump said, "When I put my name on it, when it becomes a signature property, it just does better than any other property."But, this property has done nothing but face hurdles. Developers have pulled out, soil problems threatened to sink the project and The Donald trumped everyone by filing a lawsuit to pull his name from the development in may. Yet, Sim-Dag developer Frank Dagostino hung there and pleaded with furious buyers and investors to believe in him and the project. Last October Dagostino said, "We're here and we're here to stay so we want to do the right thing." That here to stay attitude may have just paid off. The Tampa Bay Business Journal is reporting that developer Sim-Dag sent out e-mails to investors saying they've secured 200-million dollars from an unidentified hedge fund in new york to fund the project. And, it looks like the Trump name may stay. So, from you're fired to you're hired, forget about another golden shovel groundbreaking, it may be time to break out the weed eaters.
