FORT PIERCE, FL -- Police say Adam Lee Ryckman apparently partied too hardy at the Boozgeois Saloon recently.
The 32-year-old reportedly was found passed out in the bar's parking lot and carted off in an ambulance to the hospital “to receive medical attention for severe intoxication due to the fact that he was alone passed out in the parking lot of the bar and it was feared that he may be struck by a vehicle or receive other harm since he appeared to be unable to care for himself at the time,” an affadvit states.
When the ambulance arrived Lawnwood Regional Medical Center, Ryckwood jumped out and took off across the parking lot.
A police officer caught up with Ryckman, who was on his back in an overgrown field.
The officer told Ryckman to get up and get moving. He complied by trying to run away again.
The officer grabbed his wrist and Ryckman took a swing at him. The officer de-incentified him with a Taser jolt.
Ryckman later receive medical clearance and given a free ride to the county jail, where he was presented with a list of charges including felony battery on officer, firefighter, emergency medical technician and misdemeanor disorderly intoxication.
