ST. LUCIE COUNTY, FL -- Sheriff's deputies recently made a surprise visit to a home where an anonymous caller said they would find marijuana growing.
When they arrived, they began quizzing Oulay Inthaphone.
“I told him the reason we were there and asked him if he was growing marijuana,” a sheriff's affidavit states. “He said he was growing a plant for a school project.”
Inthaphone showed sheriff’s officials where two pot plants were growing. After a little more poking around, they also turned up about a dozen ecstasy pills.
Inthaphone owned up to the pills, too.
In addition to cultivation of marijuana and possession of a controlled substance charges, Inthaphone harvested one count of misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.
