ORANGE COUNTY, FL -- Casey Anthony and her defense team will be in court Friday to demand access to more evidence.

On Thursday, Orange County Circuit Judge Stan Strickland ruled that Casey will be required to appear in court for every hearing in her first-degree murder case, excluding scheduling and trial status hearings.

Her attorney, Jose Baez, didn't want Casey (photos) at the hearing.  He cited a variety of reasons, including the media frenzy that typically surrounds her.

But Strickland turned him down.  "Being duly advised in the premises, the defendant's Notice of Objection is overruled, and the defendant will be required to appear at each and every court hearing with the exception of those matters previously noted," Strickland wrote.

At Friday's hearing, Baez will ask for access to more evidence.  He also wants to inspect the area where Caylee Anthony's (photos) remains were found on December 11 near her grandparents home.

Casey is charged with killing the toddler.

PARENTS WANT TO MEET PRIVATELY WITH CASEY

The attorney for George and Cindy Anthony is expected to request that the couple be allowed to meet privately with their daughter at the Orange County Jail.

Visits with inmates by family and friends are typically videotaped and made public.  The Anthony's have not seen or spoken with Casey in more than three months.

Earlier reports from several Orlando media outlets indicated the Anthony's wanted to hold a funeral service for Caylee Anthony at the jail.

But attorney Brad Conway says the reason for the request is to allow Casey and her parents a little private time to remember Casey's murdered daughter, Caylee Anthony (photos).

Jail officials say it's unlikely that the request will be granted.

CASEY ANTHONY'S ATTORNEY WANTS PROSECUTORS REMOVED

Casey Anthony's defense team wants state prosecutors removed from her murder case.

Jose Baez filed an emergency motion late Tuesday.  He claims the prosecution is violating Casey's 6th Amendment right to counsel of her choice.

Baez bases his motion on the fact that someone with the State Attorney's Office recently complained to the Florida Bar about him.  Baez claims prosecutors are trying to taint him and are interfering with Casey's defense.

Baez says the state attorney's complaint was egregious and prejudicial.  He wants to put prosecutors on the stand to explain themselves.  A legal analyst told Orlando station WFTV that's not likely to happen.

A hearing on the motion has yet to be scheduled.

GEORGE ANTHONY REMAINS HOSPITALIZED - MAY BE MOVED CLOSER TO HOME SOON

The father of Casey Anthony continues to undergo treatment at a Daytona Beach hospital, but is expected to be moved to a facility closer to home within the next few days

George Anthony was taken to Halifax Medical Center a week ago by police after his attorney called 911 and reported him missing and possibly suicidal.

Police tracked him down at a motel through cell phone signals.

Officers said George was melancholy and despondent and that they found a suicide note in the room.
