ORANGE COUNTY, FL -- Casey's Anthony's attorneys provided some insight into their legal strategy during a Friday court hearing.

Attorney Todd Macaluso said there is evidence that someone else left her daughter's body in the woods.

Caylee Anthony's remains were found in a wooded area near Casey's home last December, months after she disappeared.

Prosecutors say Casey murdered the 2-year-old.  She claims she's innocent.

Casey's attorneys want to interview Timothy Miller, who is the head of Texas-based EquuSearch. They claim his testimony could help prove her innocence.

Miller and his Equusearch volunteers took part in the search for Caylee and looked in the vicinity where Caylee's remains were found.

Defense attorneys also want to review Equusearch records and question volunteers.

"There is substantial evidence that we've found...that the body or remains of Caylee Anthony was placed there after Casey Anthony was locked up," Todd Macaluso told Circuit Judge Stan Strickland. "It proves that somebody else placed the remains in the area."

Strickland said he would rule on the requests next week.

Late in the morning, Casey's father, George Anthony, took the stand and was questioned about California bounty hunter Leonard Padilla, who paid for Casey's bail and provided security at the Anthony home.

During the questioning, Casey began to cry, wiping tears away with a tissue.

As George stepped down from the stand, he mouthed "I love you" to his daughter as he took his seat next to his wife Cindy.

"She hasn't seen her dad for a very long time. It was very emotional and very touching," Cindy later said.

Another issue before the court was Casey's check fraud case.  She's accused of taking checks from a friend.

The defense wants the case delayed until after her murder trial.

Strickland did not immediately make a decision.
