THE AMAZON KINDLE
Brought to you by Amazon.com, Kindle is a wireless reading device. Originally released in November 2007, it changes the way we read books in a big way.
The latest generation of Kindle includes a 6-inch display. It’s 1/3 of an inch thick, weighs less than a typical paperback book (10.2 ounces) and holds more than 1,500 book titles.
3G wireless lets you download books from your Kindle, there are no monthly fees, service plans, or hunting for Wi-Fi hotspots.
According to Amazon, more than 275,000 books plus U.S. and international newspapers, magazines, and blogs are available.
Kindle sells for $359.
Amazon recently introduced Kindle DX. It has a larger (9.7”) display and can store 3,500 books.
The DX version sells for $489.
