TAMPA, FL -- Looks like they picked the wrong car to pull over.
Tampa Police say 2 alleged prostitutes offered up sex to two of their detectives as they were driving down Hubert Avenue this morning.
According to investigators, the two detectives were driving around 11:30 am in an unmarked police car when 38-year-old Karen Tyborwski flagged them down and approached their car.
When one of the detectives rolled down his window, she offered him sex for $150, police said. 26-year old Marissa Smith offered the other detective sex for $100, police said.
The pair then drove to the Comfort Inn on North Dale Mabry Highway, and told the detectives to invite their friends. Unfortunately for the pair, that is exactly what they did. When they arrived, the pair found several police cars and were arrested.
The suspects told officers they were in town to make extra money for the Super Bowl, but both have local addresses, police said.
