ST. PETERSBURG, FL -- St. Petersburg Police Chief Harmon warned a Tuesday evening Crime Watch meeting that keeping silent when it comes to criminal activity will not solve the problems.  No one called police after 8-year-old Paris Whitehead-Hamilton was shot in her bedroom during a drive-by shooting over the weekend.

The girl apparently woke up at the commotion and was hit by one of the bullets in what police are calling a retaliation against someone inside the home.

Police say they are making progress identifying three more suspects responsible for firing an estimated 50 rounds into the home.

Investigators have not named the three new suspects, but say they have fingerprints and other evidence that helped them identify the people involved in the shooting.

18 year old Stephen Harper remains in jail charged with first degree murder.  He was arrested Sunday night.

The family released funeral arrangement saying it will start with a wake at the Smith Funeral Home from 4-8 p.m. and the funeral will be Saturday at 11am at the New Mount Olive Primitive Baptist Church.

Paris' father who is stationed overseas in the military has been told about his daughter's murder and will be able to come home for her funeral.
