A North Charleston man was arrested after attempting to steal beer from a Myrtle Beach Wal-Mart.

A Wal-Mart employee told police that Reginald Scott and another man put three packages of toilet paper and eight packages of beer into a shopping cart. The men hid the beer in the toilet paper, then tried to leave the store.

An employee stopped them, but Scott left in a vehicle.

Scott later returned to the store, and an employee found a bag containing a green, leafy substance. The substance tested positive for marijuana.

Scott, 46, is charged with shoplifting and possession of marijuana.
