Trying to be the police: You're doing it wrong

Last Update: 8/10 5:22 pm
A Price Hill man tried to pull over a woman he said was driving drunk, but caused more trouble for himself.

According to a court report, a woman flagged down a Cincinnati police officer because a man was following her and flashing his vehicle's lights like a police officer in an attempt to make her pull over.

The man allegedly gave police a fake name but was later identified as 23-year-old Jose Lopez, originally from Guatemala.

Lopez told police he thought the woman was drunk and wanted to stop her.

After a little bit of investigating, the officer realized that Lopez was actually the drunk driver. The woman was sober.

Lopez is charged with OVI and driving without a license. He could also face deportation.
