A sleepwalking Kansas City man was stabbed in the face and shoulder by his girlfriend when she couldn't wake him.
The 24-year-old victim had a history of sleepwalking, and his girlfriend woke up at 1:30am to find him urinating in the closet.
She tried to wake the sleepwalker up, but he ignored her efforts.
He pushed her out of the way and walked into the kitchen. She reportedly became scared that he might hit her.
Police say she grabbed a knife and held it up as he approached. His injuries were non-life threatening.
His girlfriend said he was drunk when he came home hours before the incident.
