Oh, the people you will stab

A Dr. Suess-style scenario had a remarkably different outcome in St. Cloud, Minnesota.

Two men were walking on a sidewalk in opposite directions. When they met up, neither man would make way for the other.

The situation sounds similar to a Dr. Suess story title "The Zax". A north-going Zax and a south-going Zax meet face to face and refuse to move out of each other's way.

In the story, a highway is built around them. That isn't how the Minnesota version ended.

The argument between the two men escalated into a physical fight.

When the fight was over, one man realized he had been stabbed several times in the stomach.

Authorities say the 31-year-old victim's injuries were minor.
