Sacramento Police say they caught two teens that broke into a home by using a homework assignment that was left behind.
The teens broke into a home, but didn't know someone was still inside. When they heard the person call police, the teens ran.
They started jumping over the fences of neighboring houses and left their backpacks behind.
One of the backpacks had a homework assignment with one of the teen's names on it.
Going to school proved beneficial to police, but not to the 15 and 17-year-old suspects.
They were booked into juvenile hall.
