Last Update: 12/01/2009 4:53 am
RUSKIN, FL -- The identities of the three people killed in a weekend crash in Ruskin have been released.

29-year-old Sylvia Pittman was driving the family's car with her husband Gerald, 29, and their 5-year-old son Jarod, headed nothbound on 30th St. SE.

According to the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office, Sylvia ran a stop sign and entered the intersection at 30th St. SE and 21st Ave. SE.

At the same time, Eduardo Herrera-Loa, driving a Ford Expedition, entered the intersection and collided with the front of the car.

The Pittmans' car struck a utility pole. All three family members died at the scene of the crash.

Herrera-Loa, 34, was transported to South Bay Hospital, where he was treated for minor injuries and released.

According to the Sheriff's Office, there is a possibility that Herrera-Loa was drinking before the crash. The results of a DUI investigation are pending.
