James Killeen of Tampa

Last Update: 1/28 1:16 pm

We'd like to introduce you to local Jefferson Awards nominee, James Killeen of Tampa.
He was nominated by Mary Krude.  Mary shared the following with us:

The ministry is called Amazing Love.  The purpose is to feed the homeless.
We feed down behind Hyde Park United Methodist Church every Monday night.
My parents started to feed and now they feed 150-200 people every week.
I see firsthand the selfless acts they do and I am truly inspired.

Their house has become a storage unit for the food, clothes, and toiletry for individuals
who are homeless.  They work all week to prepare for this.  They have a great number
of people who help and it is amazing to see how different churches and people have
united together to serve.

I have been fortunate to have parents who always serve others.  This is nothing new
to them.  I would love to see them acknowledged for all they do, they are a true
inspiration.  They have given up their retirement to serve.
