HOLIDAY, FL -- The Pasco Hernando Workforce Board is hosting a collaboration with local training providers to organize a Career Training Fair and Expo.
Local selected schools attending will present training programs to workers who have lost their jobs during this sluggish economy.
The Career Training Fair and Expo is Thursday May 7, 2009 at Rasmussen College (2127 Grand Boulevard, Holiday, Florida 34690) beginning at 8:30am.
The Workforce Board says workers who have lost their jobs due to the sluggish economy and are in need of training or retraining to become competitive and gain employment are strongly encouraged to attend.
Participants can learn more about training programs and funding for occupations that are projected to grow over the next few years. Funding for these programs is being made available through the federal American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.
Occupational areas for training are: Healthcare, Welding, Auto Service Technology, Electrical, Corrections, Law Enforcement and Business.
Local training providers participating are Rasmussen College, Pasco-Hernando Community College, Pasco County School Board, Central Florida Institute, and Kaiser Career College.
