Wendy Ryan co-anchors the 6 and 11 o'clock editions of ABC Action News.

During her career, Wendy spent almost 10 years in Los Angeles, California. She worked as an anchor/reporter for KWHY-TV, The Business Channel, covering the financial markets and interviewing top CEO's from around the country. She then moved to Miami to launch her own national show with NFN, Net Financial News.

During her decade in the Golden State, Wendy also worked for a national cable network focusing on international issues and covering the Middle East peace process.

Other big stories she has covered include the aftermath of the 1994 Northridge earthquake and highly publicized O.J. Simpson trial.

Her career has also taken her to the NBC affiliate, KVOA-TV in Tucson, Arizona, and the NBC affiliate WICS-TV in Springfield, Illinois, where she served as the main anchor.

Wendy was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio and graduated Cum Laude from the University of Arizona. On her down time, she enjoys teaching aerobics, spending time with her dog Preshis, and playing golf with her husband, Jerome. She also volunteers with several non-profit organizations and various events throughout Tampa Bay.
