Ty Wilson joined the ABC Action News team in July 2009. He has covered live news events during the weekdays and on weekends at ABC Action News. He currently serves as a general assignment reporter.
He came to Tampa after reporting for the CBS affiliate in Kansas City, Missouri. Before that, Ty was reporting in Jacksonville, Florida. Ty covered several major hurricanes that hit the Florida peninsula in 2004, including Charley, Frances, Ivan and Jeanne.
Ty likes animals and enjoys volunteering in his free time.
