Ellen is thrilled to help you wake up on the weekends! She joined ABC Action News in April of 2009 as the weekend morning anchor. You can also see her reporting three days during the week.
Ellen was born in Chicago and grew up in Boulder, Colorado and Dallas, Texas.
While in college, she played soccer in the Big 12 and graduated summa cum laude from Texas Tech University with a degree in political science and a minor in Spanish.
Ellen grew up in the news business as her dad is a former CBS News correspondent, but it wasn't until she interned at the CBS affiliate in Lubbock, Texas that she fell in love with the business herself.
After working in Lubbock as the weekend evening anchor at KLBK, she moved up to KXAN, the NBC affiliate in Austin, Texas.
Ellen enjoys living in the Bay area. An avid runner, she recently qualified for the Boston Marathon. Ellen along with her fiancé, Marcus, and Jack Russell Terrier, Harry, are happy to call South Tampa home.
