Dustin Chase has been covering Florida since the historic hurricane season of 2003.
Before joining ABC Action News as a reporter, Dustin worked in Miami and Ft. Myers. During his time at WSVN 7 News in Miami, Dustin was responsible for covering breaking news. If it was happening, the management at 7 News expected Dustin to know about it.
After a year and a half of that Dustin decided it was time to move to Florida’s West Coast. While working at WINK News, Dustin broke several stories including one about potentially poisonous refurbished trailers that had been bought to house low income families in Immokolee.
Dustin started his career as an assignment editor at KRQE-TV in Albuquerque. Shortly before graduating college with a degree in Journalism and Mass Communication, Dustin landed a job at KDBC 4 News in El Paso.
As part of making Tampa Bay home, Dustin can routinely be seen at art shows, concerts and other community events.
If you see Dustin in your neighborhood, he'd feel privileged to meet you.
