Dan joins WFTS as it’s Senior Sports Producer. Dan has worked “in the biz” for 12 years, filling various rolls for ESPN, as well as NBC, ABC, CBS, FOX, and WB affiliates.

Dan has covered two Super Bowls (XXXIV, XXXVI), both the Collegiate and Major League World Series, The Masters, the USGA U.S. Open, The Daytona 500, The Mark McGwire home run chase, The Stanley Cup Playoffs, The NBA Playoffs, both the Men’s and Women’s Final Four, as well as The Peach, Gator, Insight, and Las Vegas Bowls.

Dan’s most recent television tour of duty took him to St. Louis, were he served as the weekend sports anchor of KLPR-TV and also hosted both the Cardinals and Blues post game shows.

Prior to becoming a sportscaster, Dan pursued a NFL career as a punter. Both the Philadelphia Eagles and NY Jets brought him in for rookie camps in 1990 and 1992 respectfully. Dan also signed with the World League in 1991, and tried out with Sam Wyche’s Buccaneers in 1993.

Dan earned a BBA in Marketing from Pace University in 1990. He has also performed charitable work for Lighthouse for the Blind, Our Little Haven, M.S. Society and Junior Achievement. Dan has also provided assistance with hurricane relief efforts in Florida.

Dan resides in Westchase with wife Laura and son Andrew.
