Zach Sobiech loses battle with cancer, leaves behind musical legacy with Clouds song

Celebrities create lipdub of teen's music video

Faced with terminal cancer and just months to live, a Minnesota teen turned to music to leave a lasting mark on the world -- and to say goodbye.

Doctor's diagnosed 17-year-old Zach Sobiech with stage two osteosarcoma.  He was out of treatment options -- and decided to focus on living his life to the fullest.  For Zach, that meant putting his energy into his music.
 
His song, "Clouds," soon took off with over 4 million views to date (Watch here: http://youtu.be/sDC97j6lfyc )
His heartfelt tune caught the attention of celebrities, who wanted to give him a boost of support.  

A lip-dub video of the song featuring Colbie Caillat, Ashley Tisdale, several actors from the hit television show The Office, and many more celebrities was released on May 6. 

Sadly, Zach lost his life to cancer this week, but his legacy lives on through his music. A statement released from his family says he passed away at home with those he loved, and ended with "We'll see you again, Zach, up in those clouds."
 
His family created the Zach Sobiech Osteosarcoma Fund, to further assist in research funding.
