Jarrod Holbrook

Jarrod Holbrook is an Emmy Award Winning Journalist and an Investigative Reporter for the ABC Action News I-Team. 
 
His investigative work has led to changes in state laws and protocols in Florida, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island.
 
Prior to arriving at Action News, Jarrod worked for Fox 25 in Boston.  He was on the front lines following the Boston Marathon Bombings and was the first reporter to announce on national and local news that the bombing suspect had been taken into custody.
 
Jarrod also covered the apprehension of Notorious Mobster James “Whitey” Bulger, the indictment of former Patriots player Aaron Hernandez and the identification of the Boston Strangler.  
 
He has covered national stories such as the Haiti Earthquake, he was embedded with the Rhode Island National Guard following Hurricane Katrina, the Virginia Tech Shootings, he was the lead reporter for every court case involving the RI Station Nightclub Fire and covered East Africa’s water crisis.
 
He has worked in Boston, Providence, Fort Myers, Shreveport and Houston.  
 
Jarrod was also an “Assaultman” in the US Marine Corps where he specialized in explosives, rocket and missile launchers and small team special ops.
 
Jarrod loves to travel the globe, watch football, hit the beach and fish.
 
As competitive as he is, one day he caved and married his competition, who has been a news anchor in Boston. 
 
They are the proud owners of a giant Goldendoodle and are very happy to be escaping the snow to sunny Tampa.
