Ashley Yore is an award-winning journalist, happy to return home to sunny Florida. She left the warmth in 2003 for Northwestern University in Illinois (Go Wildcats!) and this is the first time she’s been lucky enough to work (and play) near the beach.
For the last three years, Ashley was an honorary Buckeye, working as a reporter/anchor at WSYX/WTTE in Columbus, Ohio. Her claim to fame: an EMMY award for her own series “Made Local, Stay Local,” featuring Ohio businesses making a difference.
From 2008 through 2011, Ashley reported the stories of South Carolinians at CBS affiliate WLTX in Columbia. She ate her way through the state with her series Restaurant Report Card, and even became a certified BBQ judge!
Ashley mastered snowboarding (or attempted) as a graduate intern at Plum TV in Sun Valley, Idaho, worked as a reporter at WGEM in Quincy, Illinois, and interned at FOX News Chicago, PBS Chicago, and NY1 News in NYC.
Ashley loves spoiling her dog Winnie, traveling as often as possible, exploring the food scene in Tampa Bay and relaxing beach-side.
