PASCO COUNTY, Fla. - A former medical doctor is under arrest for allegedly running an unlicensed medical clinic and prescribing a wide range of pain medications.
Malcolm Foster had his license suspended in 2012 for having sex with a patient, Pasco County Sheriff Chris Nocco said on Thursday.
Foster's license was was eventually revoked.
"He was a drug dealer," Nocco said.
Nocco said Foster has been in Pasco County since 1980. He operated his clinic just off U.S 19.
Nocco said one patient who was from New York, was known to be addicted to pain medications. Nocco said the man died after Foster supplied him with oxycodone.
Investigators believe other patients may have died as a result of pain medications prescribed by Foster.
"A lot of people were relying on him for drugs," Nocco said.
