ABC Action News is proud to take the wraps off the station's new studio which debuted during The Now Tampa Bay on Nov. 4.
From design and conception, to demolition and construction-- the new set is the culmination of months of planning and hard work.
Some of you have noticed that Action News has been on a temporary set for over four weeks. Thank you for all the emails and your patience.
The new state-of-the-art studio centers around a massive video wall that will give Action News a dynamic way to display information and help give perspective the stories that matter to you. It also provides a background for beautiful shots from across Tampa Bay, live video, social content and graphics.
In addition to the video wall, the new set features five extra-large touch-screen monitors that allow our anchors to move graphics, pull up social streams and launch maps with a simple swipe or tap of a screen.
The ABC Action Weather Center is bigger to allow multiple meteorologists to work at the same time during storm coverage. It features two large touch screens that instantly track storms live on-air and help forecast the weather right down to your street.
